ABOUT ME

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at Emory University where my research seeks to understand how host plant phytochemistry and associated microbial pools shape the assembly, stability, and function of monarch gut microbiomes. My previous professional work as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Michigan State University and a Biological Scientist at Florida International University applied community assembly theory and predictive modeling to scale-up ecosystem restoration (in midwestern tallgrass prairies, longleaf pine savannas, and subtropical freshwater wetlands of the Everglades. I earned my Ph.D. in Evolution, Ecology & Population Biology at Washington University,  a MS in Biology from the University of Central Florida, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of South Florida.
